While the World Cup continues to improve fan appreciation and bring a new throng of loyal followers, the sport of soccer still trails far behind the other major sports in player salaries. Perhaps they set a morale example, or maybe they just don't believe their players deserve to have a plethora of lavish houses and a superfluous number of vehicles in the garage, but either way they have some money to raise.
